Kusum is a bare jasmine-tuberose bloom with almost nothing beneath it - the quietest scent we make, which is exactly what makes it office-safe and easy in daylight. Pushpika is the one with evening presence: pear blossom and red berries over gardenia and jasmine absolute, on a base of patchouli and brown sugar that carries across a wedding hall. If your daytime priority is being completely inoffensive, Neer is the cleanest thing we make - bergamot and neroli over marine notes on a quiet cedarwood-patchouli base. Pair it with whichever evening direction you prefer - rich floral or dark woods.

How to actually use two bottles

• Assign them, do not choose daily. Day bottle lives by the door, night bottle by the mirror.
• Do not layer them. Two finished compositions worn together usually cancel each other out. If layering interests you, read this first.
• Fewer sprays on the night one. Evening scents are built stronger.
• Rotate, do not hoard. An unopened bottle saved for special occasions is a bottle going flat in a cupboard.
