How they smell
Neer
Bergamot, green tangerine and neroli over marine notes, jasmine and rosemary, settling onto cedarwood and patchouli. There is almost nothing sharp in it. It smells like the twenty minutes after a shower, extended into a whole day, with a quiet woody base that keeps it from vanishing. Of the six Dabrana scents, this is the one nobody dislikes.
Lehar
Apple, bergamot and lemon at the top, a watery heart with orange blossom and plum, then ambergris, driftwood and musk. It has more movement than Neer - the opening genuinely lifts, and there is a coolness to it that shows up most on a hot afternoon.

Making a fresh perfume last
Fresh compositions rely on lighter, faster-evaporating top notes, which is why they never trail the way woods do - that is chemistry, not quality. Both of these are anchored underneath, which is what carries them through the day. Three things genuinely help: apply to moisturised skin, spray on the chest and behind the ears rather than only wrists, and add one spray to the shirt collar.
